Since the dawn of all things, people have looked to the stars and understood their names, for as all things on the earth have names, so do all things in the ocean above. 

A true name is a thing of power, and a name raised in song is a call. 

And so, star-singing, I call upon the Dragon.


The Colder Light was written in 2012 as an experiment with an interface to make parser-based interactive fiction playable without typing. Most other attempts at this replicate the structure of parser based games: VERB then NOUN; The Colder Light changes this around to focus on objects first, and what you can do with them second. 

It's also, hopefully, a nice little atmospheric game, that should take about an hour to complete.
